Thompson-Peer Lab

Sydney Prange

I am a graduate student in the Department of Developmental and Cell Biology who joined UCI through the Cellular and Molecular Biosciences Gateway Program. I attended the University of Southern California for undergraduate and received my B.S. in Biochemistry in 2020 #FightOn. During my time at USC, I worked in the lab of Dr. Irene Chiolo studying how chromatin context influences DNA repair pathway choice in fruit flies.

In the lab, I study how dendrite regeneration is affected by neurodegenerative disease.
In my free time, I enjoy hanging out with my two cats Danger and Ouija and playing video games, especially Breath of the Wild and Pokémon. I love true crime podcasts, eating, and bad movies.
