I am currently a second year doctoral student in the Department of Developmental and Cell Biology, which I entered through the Interdepartmental Neuroscience Program (INP). I received my BA in International Studies and Environmental Studies at Boston College, and then pivoted my interests and career path towards the biological sciences. Prior to UCI, I worked in a cognitive neuroscience laboratory at The Johns Hopkins University, where I studied biomarkers of Alzheimer’s disease and cognitive aging in human research participants. I also received an MS in Biotechnology at The Johns Hopkins University in 2021.

In the lab, I hope to investigate how dendrite debris clearance after injury affects regeneration. Additionally, I hope to study how aging impacts dendrite regeneration. I also aim to investigate dendrite regeneration in the central nervous system.

Outside the lab, I am a co-Executive Director of the Queer, Trans and Allies in Biological Sciences (QTABS) graduate student group, which aims to create an affirming community for LGBTQIA+ and allied early-career STEM professionals at UCI. You can also find me cooking, searching for the best eats in Los Angeles and Orange County, and playing cards and board games. Please do not hesitate to reach out to me by email!
