Hi! I am a graduate student in the Department of Developmental and Cell Biology. I came to UCI through the Cellular and Molecular Biosciences (CMB) program. I received my B.S. in Biology with a Molecular Emphasis from Azusa Pacific University in 2022. On my undergraduate research team, I worked on two projects. The first was a biochemical analysis of SmMAK16, a protein found in a parasite, S. Mansoni, and the second was testing small molecule inhibitors of MDM2 in hopes of increasing p53 activity.

I am currently interested in what sort of extracellular signals are necessary for robust dendrite regeneration and how the epithelia, ECM, and dendrites interact with one another for regeneration.

Outside of the lab, I enjoy going to the gym, reading, and crocheting. I love going to concerts and spending time with my friends. Feel free to reach out if you have any interest in our lab, CMB, or graduate school in general!
