I am a second-year undergraduate student in the school of biological sciences. My research focuses on establishing effective protocols for the assessment of dendrite regeneration after hypoxia-induced injury in different fly mutants. Moving forward at UCI, I plan on conjoining my interests in neuroscience and immunology!
In my free time, I enjoy playing the piano and cooking. I have always been involved in music since I was a kid and piano has really stuck with me. As of now, I am teaching myself how to improvise, which I hope will act as a gateway to learning jazz, my favorite genre of music! As for my cooking habits, I spend a lot of my time in the kitchen with my mom learning traditional sicilian recipes and trying new ones as well. So far, some family favorites have been stir-fried rice cakes/nian gao and vegetarian chili!
